Recovery Flex Pack Guide: Fit, Wear & Care

Thanks for choosing CompressiveX. Everything you need to set up, use and look after your gear is below.
Watch: how it works

The Recovery Flex Pack is a soft, flexible compression wrap with a detachable Dual Thermo™ Pack for hot or cold therapy. One wrap works on your knee, leg or arm. This guide shows you how to set it up, where to use it, and how to look after it.

What's in the box

  • Starter
    • 1 × Recovery Flex Pack wrap (one size)
    • 1 × Dual Thermo™ Pack - Large (28 × 20 cm) for hot or cold therapy
  • Rotation Kit
    • 1 × Recovery Flex Pack wrap (one size)
    • 2 × Dual Thermo™ Packs - Large (28 × 20 cm) for hot or cold therapy
    • 1 × Travel Case (free) to carry your gear

Where you can use it

  • Knee: around the joint, with your kneecap in the open patella opening.
  • Leg: around the calf or thigh.
  • Arm: around the forearm or elbow.

How to put it on

  1. If you're using hot or cold therapy, prepare a Dual Thermo™ Pack first (see the hot & cold therapy guide).
  2. Attach the pack to the back of the wrap by pressing its two velcro strips onto the bands on the wrap.
  3. Place the wrap so the pack sits over the area you want to treat.
  4. Wrap it around and fasten the straps, adjusting them until the compression feels firm and even.
  5. Move a little to check it stays in place. It should feel secure, but never tight enough to restrict circulation.

Same wrap, different areas. The gel pack attaches, comes off and repositions in seconds, so you can move it to where you need it. The straps stretch to about 80 cm around the thigh and 62–65 cm around the knee and calf. If your skin tingles, goes numb or changes colour, loosen the wrap.

Two ways to use it

Recovery mode: with the gel pack

With a hot or cold Dual Thermo™ Pack attached, use the wrap while you're sitting, resting or in a recovery session. Use it for about 15–20 minutes at a time and check your skin every 5 minutes.

Active mode: without the gel pack

Take the gel pack off before you get moving. On its own, the wrap gives soft compression for walking, standing, stairs and light activity.

Always remove the gel pack before running, training or active movement. The Flex Pack is a soft wrap without rigid supports, so it's made for light activity. Don't use it in water.

Care and cleaning

  • Take the gel pack off before cleaning.
  • Hand wash in cold water, 30 °C or below.
  • No machine washing, spinning, tumble drying, hot ironing or bleach.
  • Air dry in the shade, away from direct sun.
  • Pick any lint out of the velcro so it keeps a strong grip.

Looking after the gel packs is covered in the hot & cold therapy guide.

Safety

Read the health warnings before use. Talk to your doctor before using the gel packs if you have a circulatory or sensory condition, diabetes or reduced skin sensation. If pain or swelling persists or gets worse, stop using the wrap and see your doctor or health professional.
